The Warwick Valley School District Art Department and WAMBO started sponsoring a scholarship chair auction that participating graduating seniors will benefit from. The chair auction is open to Juniors and Seniors that wish to paint a chair in a particular period style, theme or artist style. The chairs take several months to plan, design and create. Prior to the time of the auction local businesses display the chairs for the public to see. The chairs are also displayed in the high school auditorium the week before the auction. The same evening of the auction the entire art department from kindergarten through the high school have a gallery hopping art show in the district office and also in the high school lobby for all to enjoy and attend.
